A short gathering of Josephine Daskam Bacon’s poems, opening with a mother’s raw prayer for her dead infant. It goes on through lullabies and sleep songs, sailors’ songs and the sea, a little blind beggar and a stranger child, and the “Songs of Iseult Deserted”.
Intense lyric verse by an American writer better known for her stories, especially moving on grief. Download the free EPUB.
