Colonel John A. Joyce imagines Shakespeare telling his own life: birth and school days in Stratford, apprenticeship, poaching on Sir Thomas Lucy’s land, the road to London, its taverns, theatres and mixed society, and the plays that followed. Verses by Joyce himself are scattered through the narrative.
An odd, enthusiastic piece of fictional biography by a colourful American eccentric. Download the free EPUB.
