Kit McNair narrates the disastrous evening she helped arrange for her divorced friend Jim Wilson, whose rich Aunt Selina, unaware of the divorce, arrives expecting to meet his wife. Kit agrees to play the part for a night, and then a case of smallpox in the house means nobody can leave, as the guests, the policeman Flannigan and the pretence slowly unravel.
A sparkling farce from the author better known for mysteries, still fresh and very funny. Download the free EPUB.
