Richard Edgcumbe, after nearly forty years of study, argues that Byron changed profoundly after leaving Ravenna in 1821. He follows the poet through Pisa and Genoa to Greece and Missolonghi, where he gave his money and life to the war of independence, and reopens the questions of his marriage and separation from Lady Byron.
A sympathetic study of Byron’s final years, for readers drawn to the poet and to the Greek struggle. Download the free EPUB.
