Little poems printed with the longer words split into syllables, so that a child could sound them out: a girl mourns the robin she fed all winter, children go snowballing, a doll falls sick, a pet lamb follows its owner, and ploughing and harvest are shown as signs of God’s care.
A curious survival from the Victorian nursery that shows how children were taught to read and to pray. Download the free EPUB.
