Roswell Park, a leading American surgeon, collects addresses from the borderland of anthropology, history and medicine: the belief in the evil eye, the study of death, serpent myths and serpent worship, medical symbolism, the Greek mysteries and early Christianity, the Knights Hospitaller, Giordano Bruno, student life in the Middle Ages and the words and men of medicine.
Learned, curious essays for readers who enjoy folklore and the history of medicine together. Download the free EPUB.
