Davy Llewellyn, an ancient fisherman of the Glamorganshire coast, is finally persuaded to tell the curious story his neighbours keep asking about. Hungry and out of luck, he once rowed out to fish and found instead a little girl asleep in a drifting boat, and his attempts to raise her, discover who she is and protect her lead through smugglers, sea fights and dark doings at Sker House.
A long, salty yarn by the author of Lorna Doone, for readers who enjoy a garrulous narrator. Download the free EPUB.
