Lanier collects giants from every age of storytelling: the Titans who fought Zeus, Orion in the sky, Polyphemus outwitted by Odysseus, Thor’s visit to Jotunheim, Og of Bashan, Ferragus of the brazen head, the giant of St Michael’s Mount and Sir Launcelot’s foe Tarquin, before moving on to the very tall men of history and what science has to say about them.
An entertaining miscellany of myth, legend and fact for anyone who loved giant stories as a child. Download the free EPUB.
