Lord Clonbrony’s family spend their Irish rents trying to shine in London society, where Lady Clonbrony is mocked for her pretensions. Their son, Lord Colambre, travels to Ireland incognito to see the estates for himself, and finds how good and bad agents treat the tenants left behind.
A sharp satire on London snobbery and the injustice of absentee landlords, by Ireland’s first great novelist. Download the free EPUB.
