Framed as the songs and tales a travelling teller once carried from cottage to hall at Christmas and on May Day, this collection gathers short stories for young listeners: The Two Brothers, The Plate of Pancakes, Little Maid Hildegarde, The Quest for the Nightingale and more. Kings, poor mothers and generous children learn that a shared supper or a kept promise is worth more than gold.
Written by a kindergarten teacher with reading aloud in mind, these are ideal bedtime stories for small children. Download the free EPUB.
