Each night of the year has its own brief story, told by daddy in a friendly, rambling voice. January alone brings a New Year’s party with a new set of pink and white dishes, a naughty wind, selfish oyster crabs, a brownie’s toothache, a pink cockatoo and baby bears, while later months add birds, animals, fairies and goblins.
