Victorien Sardou was one of the most celebrated and commercially successful French playwrights of the nineteenth century, whose works dominated the stages of Europe and inspired the term “Sardoodledom” — coined by Bernard Shaw to describe well-made but morally shallow plays. This edition of Musta helmi is written in Finnish, indicating it is a Finnish translation of one of Sardou’s works.
Sardou’s dramas were known for their skillful construction and theatrical effectiveness. Download this public-domain edition as a free EPUB.
